What’s going on golfers. Just wanted to make a quick post about the tournament I played in yesterday. It was fun and I had great time. Even though we didn’t win but that was do giving up a lot of birdie shots. We need to work on our put game guys. I think there were a few teams who bought to many mulligans or used a foot wedge a bit to many times. But hey until you can get a marshal with every team what can you do.

All in all I had a good time. Also, I dropped off a bunch of Where I Golf.com Golf balls around the course. If they are found please contact us on the site we will send you your prize for finding our lost golf balls. Take a look at the Orchard Hills Golf Course it a pretty nice place to play.

Samsung World Championship Increases purses to 1 million dollars.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and organizers with the Samsung World Championship today jointly announced a purse increase for 2007 to $1 million. The event, which features an elite field of 20 players, increased the purse from $875,000 and now will feature a $250,000 first-place check.

“The Samsung World Championship showcases the season’s major championship winners along with the top performers from the LPGA Tour throughout the year, and we applaud Samsung for its continued commitment to the LPGA players with the purse increase to $1 million,” said LPGA Commissioner Carolyn F. Bivens.

First-year event offering $1.3 million purse, $195,000 to the winner

This week’s Navistar LPGA Classic is the third inaugural tournament on the 2007 LPGA Tour schedule and, with most players having nearly two weeks off, it promises to be a show that will not disappoint.

There will be 144 women traveling to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail’s Capitol Hill venue in Prattville, Ala., where they will take on The Senator course. At the top of the field is Lorena Ochoa, reigning Rolex Player of the Year and the current dominating leader of the 2007 LPGA Official Money List. Ochoa was on a roll in August as she won three consecutive events at the RICOH Women’s British Open—her first LPGA major championship victory—followed by the CN Canadian Women’s Open two weeks later, then the Safeway Classic Presented by Pepsi. Ochoa may have taken a month off, but it will mean the 2006 Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year is all the more rested to go for her fourth win in as many events en route to a record set by Nancy Lopez in 1978 and matched by Annika Sorenstam in 2005, by winning five of five-consecutive events entered. A win would also put the Tour’s leading member from Mexico as the first woman in Tour history to earn $3 million in one season.
