Kiawah Island Golf Resort is ninth in the country and among the top 10 North American Resorts and Gold List Awards from Conde Nast Traveler. In addition the Sanctuary is an AAA awards Five Diamond Travel and Leisure Family resort in the southeast.  Kiawah Island Golf Resort is only thirty minuets away from downtown Charleston and the resort hosted the 2007 Senior PGA Championship.
